What does Sherry Lorestani, Stylist and newcomer to the SLC Fashion scene think of the most recent Grammy Runway Looks?

Lorestani recently worked backstage at Park City Fashion Week as a model coordinator under Kat Wandvik. Her thoughts below.

Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter channeled classic Hollywood glamour with a modern twist, evoking comparisons to Marilyn Monroe. Her ethereal, satin powder blue gown, styled by Jared Ellner (who also works with Emma Chamberlain and Rachel Sennott), perfectly blended timeless elegance with contemporary flair. The gown's feathered and diamond embellishments added a touch of modern sophistication. The "Short n' Sweet" artist's fashion choices come as she celebrates five Grammy nominations in 2025, including Best Pop Vocal Album.

Doechii

Doechii absolutely stunned in her head-to-toe Thom Browne look! The structured silhouette and pinstripes perfectly complemented her fierce, "I-run-this" persona. The corset back added a touch of intrigue, while the fingerless gloves gave the whole ensemble a cool, street-style edge.

Nominated for three awards, including Best New Artist, Doechii showed up looking like she'd already won. The pinstriped, off-the-shoulder gown, worn over a button-down and tie? Genius. It's that perfect blend of masculine and feminine energy that Doechii pulls off effortlessly.

And the Thom Browne ribbon? A subtle flex that says, "Yeah, I've got taste." Big shoutout to stylist Sam Woolf (who also dresses Jhené Aiko) for this masterpiece. The platform heels, diamonds, and intricate braids were just the cherries on top. That sparkly gray eyeshadow? Chef's kiss. Doechii clearly has a thing for Thom Browne (remember that CFDA event?), and honestly, we get it. This Grammy look cemented her status as a fashion icon in the making. She's not just wearing clothes; she's owning them.

Chappell Roan

Chappel Roan nailed it! She's known for taking risks, and this vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dress from the 2003 Spring/Summer collection is proof that she's not afraid to push boundaries. It's giving us major avant-garde opera vibes, and that feathered hat? Iconic. The boots add a touch of rock-and-roll edge, perfectly balancing the gown's whimsical feel.

Roan clearly took inspiration from Mariacarla Boscono's runway look, keeping the feathered headpiece and opera gloves (though hers were sheer and fingerless – a clever twist!). She made the look her own with a baby blue tulle scarf, lace-front boots with yellow toes, and her signature vibrant, drag-inspired makeup. It's a total serve. Remember her VMAs win last year, when she dedicated her award to drag artists? This look feels like a continuation of that celebration of artistry and fearless self-expression.

Madison Beer

Madison Beer shimmered and stunned in a gold mermaid gown that was pure magic! It's that perfect blend of elegance and sexiness that she always nails. The simple jewelry was a brilliant move, letting the dress truly shine. That sweetheart neckline is so flattering, and the dramatic cape? Major drama, but in the best way possible.

She looked like a goddess, straight out of a fairytale. Turns out, this masterpiece is by Miss Sohee from their Spring/Summer 2025 Sheer Haute Couture collection.  Stylist Katie Qian deserves a huge round of applause for this one!

Teddy Swims

Teddy Swims' Grammy look was so much more than just an outfit; it was a beautiful tribute to his soon-to-arrive child. The pearl embellishments, a nod to his June due date ("My child is due in June and so the birthstone is a pearl!"), added such a personal and touching element. The champagne-colored suit, paired with those varying sizes and shades of pearls, created a look that was both refined and subtly luxurious. It's a gorgeous way to celebrate his growing family, and it proves that you can be stylish and sentimental all at once. Major props to Teddy (and Kay Jewelers!) for this thoughtful and unique fashion moment.
